Phone addiction is a thing now. Does your muscle memory tickle your nerves to constantly check out what’s happening around your ‘disguised’ social world?
Enter Lock Me Out for Android. Lock Me Out for Android asks you to set the amount of time you want to stay away from your phone. (Note that the free version allows for a maximum of 10 minutes.) It then hooks into Android’s lock screen API to generate a system-level random PIN which you do not know. The phone shall automatically unlock after the set period of time. This is basically the same thing as manually setting a PIN code for security, except for the fact that you do not know what is the PIN.
Hopefully, you can still use the lock screen widgets, access camera or make emergency calls while you are locked out. But if you feel the urge to ping your online buddies, you need to take a break.
