“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” – Jim Ryun.
The importance of making a habit can’t be stressed enough in daily life – whether it may be going to gym daily or taking daily programming lessons. But it’s pretty common observation that people go to gyms only a week or two after they’ve made their shiny new year resolutions.
Enter Rewire for Android. It splashes with a calendar where you can strike off a day when you’ve performed a particular habbit on that day. It allows you to specify a goal, track it and show a monthly summary of how you are doing.
Tapping on a date marks the habit as done today, double tapping marks as not done and a triple tap sets the habit as skipped. Your goal is to create a long chain and try not to break it. While this may sound too simple, it actually takes a page of philosophy from popular comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s productivity secret.

That said, there could be even more goodness baked into the apps, including design related improvements. Some tablet owners have reported crashing issues. Fortunately, the good news is that the app is under active development and you can track development changes on it’s Google+ community page. As a bonus, you can even use the code xda-developers to unlock all the premium features of the app.
Basically as it’s developer describes, Rewire is the culmination of advice turned into programming. And we tend to agree and are pretty much impressed. Why not give it a shot now for the daily motivation?
